| The third one of these finally worked. With the two previous ones, the large black button refused to be pushed down to dispense the lather. (The shaving cream can did fit the canister and you could feel the warm head, but no lather came out). Several employees at the store also tried to make both work, but with no success. The third Conair Gel/Lather Machine I purchased at Wal-Greens. Although the box was the same, the machine had a slightly different head. The head did get warm and the lather does come out, but it also rises around the black button creating a mess. The shaving cream can does not fit into the canister. At first I thought it was the brand of shaving cream I used, but when I brought the canister to the store, I tested every can of shaving cream there. None fit. I called and emailed Conair about this problem, and they said that they are aware that the shaving cream cans do not fit the canister and that the user should just use the canister with the gel. (I think this looks silly -- the head sitting on a shaving cream can.) I told them that their product advertises that the dispenser will work for BOTH gel and lather, and that the instructions show to put BOTH the gel and the lather cans in the dispenser, but they only replied, only the gel cans will fit. I feel this is misleading -- showing in the instructions and saying on the box that this machine is for both, but it really only works for gel. I'm very disappointed in the product and in Conair. Also let me note that when I told them the other ones (the first two that didn't function properly) fit the shaving cream cans, they gave me no answer. They only replied again, only the skinny gel cans will fit the canister. |

| I used one of these a few years ago and was reluctant to buy another since the first one was so temperamental. But if you want a hot shave and don't want to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a professional hot lather machine, this new (improved) version of what I had does the trick. I'm very pleased for the money spent and would buy another one when this one breaks (and it will eventually). |
